FRENCH ART GLASS LEGRAS, ST. DENIS, MONT JOYE CAMEO GLASS ROSE BOWL, c. 1900
This listing is a lovely French Cameo Art Glass rose bowl or vase by one of the excellent glass factories of the late 19th-early 20th Century - either Legras, St. Denis, Paris or Mont Joye with "fishscale" textured background, polished glass flowers and foliage with gilt embellishment, c. This nice rose bowl has a beautiful appearance that is typical of the three glass houses mentioned above so without any signature, it is difficult to be certain of its origin. The slender body has a softly paneled/ribbed shape with scalloped upper edge and rounded base with polished pontil. The glass is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks or other noted flaws, however, there may be some minor signs of normal wear that was unnoticed and is insignificant. Measures 4" high with an overall width of 4 1/2" with the base measuring 2 1/4 in diameter.
